The first Training School (TS#1) took place on October 23, 2024, at the National Institute of Chemistry (NIC) in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The one-day course focused on NMR-based methods applied to DNA, RNA, proteins, and oligonucleotides, with special emphasis on resonance assignment strategies, conformational dynamics, and ligand interactions. Participants gained hands-on experience through lectures, demonstrations, and practical sessions at the Slovenian NMR Centre (NIC).
Following the training, the main conference Advances in Noncanonical Nucleic Acids (ANNA 2024) was held from October 24–26, 2024, at the Grand Hotel Portorož. This three-day event gathered international experts to discuss recent advances in non-canonical DNA and RNA structures, their dynamics, and biological relevance, complemented by social events and networking opportunities for researchers across Europe.
